Pathways to Opportunity: Higher Education, Work, and Wage Equity for Latinos in California

Please join us for a State of Latinos in California, 2026 webinar: Pathways to Opportunity: Higher Education, Work, and Wage Equity for Latinos in California, a virtual conversation on how higher education, career access, and wages intersect for Latinos across the state.

Drawing on findings from the UCLA Latino Policy and Politics Institute’s recent report, this webinar will examine why progress in educational attainment does not always translate into equitable economic opportunity. Researchers and panelists will explore the barriers that continue to shape Latino outcomes in higher education and the labor market.

Panelists:

  • Mariah Bonilla, Policy Project Analyst, UCLA LPPI
  • Rodrigo Dominguez-Villegas, Director of Research, UCLA LPPI
  • Elizabeth Gonzalez, Director, Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) Initiatives in the Office of Inclusive Excellence at UCLA
  • Jessie Hernandez-Reyes, Director of Policy & Advocacy, Campaign for College Opportunity
  • Lucero Herrera, Senior Research Analyst, UCLA Labor Center

Panelists will discuss what changes are needed to strengthen the pathway from education to economic mobility. We hope you will join us for this timely discussion.
