Yoselin 2025

Whether building data pipelines for decision‑makers, designing public‑facing maps, or facilitating partnerships, Yoselin Guzman is motivated by a simple premise: everyone deserves the conditions to thrive, and the tools we build should help make that possible.

Yoselin is a UCLA undergraduate student majoring in Geography and Environmental Studies with a minor in Systems and Societies. A first‑generation Angeleno, Yoselin focuses on environmental equity, community wellbeing, and the power of spatial data and storytelling to drive practical change. Their academic work spans Geographic Information System (GIS) and cartography, climate analysis, and environmental policy, and is complemented by hands‑on projects that translate complex information into clear, accessible tools. Outside the classroom, Yoselin is an active photographer whose documentary approach informs a careful practice of representation and audience‑aware design. With experience across campus and community collaborations, Yoselin aims to build healthier, more resilient places by connecting data, design, and lived experience. Long‑term, they plan to pursue sustainability leadership roles that turn evidence into equitable action and durable system change.
